Police Presence Needed Elsewhere

Bounded by a golf course and divided by a wide median strip, San Vicente Boulevard from Bundy Drive to 26th Street is arguably the safest stretch of street in Los Angeles. In 20 years, I’ve never seen a traffic accident there.
Yet this stretch sees, daily and nightly, a feeding frenzy of Los Angeles Police Department officers issuing traffic tickets.
At the same time, the Brentwood streets crossing San Vicente are experiencing a nightly feeding frenzy of criminals breaking into cars, stealing cars, burglarizing houses and holding up residents at gunpoint as they arrive home. A police car on these increasingly mean streets is a rare sight.
How does this allocation of police resources protect and serve the besieged and frightened taxpayers of this community?
