Jockey Dennis Kelly was critically injured in a spill at Charles Town (W. Va.) Race Track.
Kelly, 53, sustained a broken back and collapsed lung during the third race when the legs of his mount, Glowing Charm, became entangled with those of Greg’s Watch, throwing Kelly to the track. Glowing Charm had to be destroyed.
