John A. Nuccio, 72, owner of Little Joe’s restaurant, an Italian eatery that has been a downtown Los Angeles landmark since 1910. The restaurant, founded by Nuccio’s father, Robert, an Italian immigrant, originally was a grocery store and delicatessen at 5th and Hewitt streets. It became a restaurant and relocated in 1923 to North Broadway in what was then a predominantly Italian (now a Chinese-American) neighborhood. Over the years it has attracted a clientele ranging from Hollywood stars to Dodgers manager Tom Lasorda. In San Marino on Friday of pancreatic cancer.
