Officials from water districts and several San Gabriel Valley communities gathered in Claremont on Tuesday to sign a pledge to adopt the guidelines of an urban water conservation plan.
The plan details actions to reduce water consumption, such as installation of ultra low-flush toilets, water audits and financial incentives to cut water use.
Those signing the pact, which is being distributed statewide, included West Covina Mayor Richard Jennings, Covina Mayor Chris Lancaster and Three Valleys Municipal Water District President Randell J. Vogel.
