THOUSAND OAKS : Woman Killed in Accident Identified

A woman visiting California from Vienna who was killed Thursday in a traffic accident on the Ventura Freeway in Thousand Oaks was identified Friday as Cornelia Locker Schopf, the Ventura County coroner’s office said.
Schopf, 83, a medical doctor, was forced into a freeway overpass pillar when her car was struck by a van driven by Carlos Rivera, 34, of Ventura, the California Highway Patrol said.
Schopf was transported to Los Robles Medical Center, where she died.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
