OBITUARY : Brooks Morris, 78, of MWD Board

Brooks T. Morris, a member of the Metropolitan Water District board of directors, died at his La Canada Flintridge home Nov. 27. He was 78.
His son, John Morris, said the cause of death was heart failure due to gastroenteritis.
Morris, who represented La Canada Flintridge, Altadena, Montrose and La Crescenta on the MWD board, had served on the board since September, 1990, when he joined his son, John, who represents the city of San Marino.
A native of Pasadena, Morris was a civil engineer. He retired from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 1981.
He is survived by three other sons, David of Pasadena, Robert of Minneapolis and James of Redmond, Wash., and a daughter, Kathy of Crescent City, and several grandchildren.
