The department of education at Loyola Marymount University has received $25,270 to establish a computer lab.
“This lab will move us into the forefront of teacher training,” said Father Albert Koppes, the department’s chairman. “Our students will be extremely well prepared to go into the classroom and work with the available technology.”
The lab will be used to teach reading and writing to area students and as a teaching lab for university students.
The gift was made by the Riordan Foundation and the Champions Foundation of the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce.
