In another Santa Barbara tournament game:
Fountain Valley 46, San Marcos 23--Julie Murdent scored 11 points and had six rebounds for Fountain Valley (3-4). Christine Abate scored seven points and had nine rebounds for San Marcos.
In the Orange Lutheran tournament:
Century 33, Orange 22--Ruth Vallejo scored 10 points for Century (7-3), which held Orange under double digits in each of the four quarters. Century will play Villa Park for title at 8:15 tonight. Cori Strout scored six points for Orange (2-4).
Villa Park 55, Liberty Christian 41--Tara Earl scored 18 points, and Mickey Trollinger scored 16 points for Villa Park (3-3). Jen Caruso scored 19 points, including a three-pointer, for Liberty Christian (4-2).
In the Cypress tournament:
University 46, Valencia 17--Tara Wolff scored eight points and had three assists while playing only half the game for University (5-5). She was named to the all-tournament team. Teammate Rashida Smith scored 10 points in the third quarter.
Huntington Beach 55, Muir 36--Clare Walker scored 17 points followed by Tuesda Wistirck with 15 points. Wistirck also dominated the boards for Huntington Beach (4-3) with 20 rebounds.
In nonleague girls’ play:
Santa Margarita 60, Laguna Beach 35--Lesley Nolan scored 16 points and had five assists and four steals for Santa Margarita (6-4). Teammate Katie Beattie had 15 rebounds and scored five points. Nikki Klempen scored 15 points, including three three-pointers for Laguna Beach (2-6).
Cole Stephens scored 10 points and had 11 rebounds for Laguna Beach.
