La Canada Flintridge : Bridge Work Payment OKd

The City Council voted unanimously Monday to reimburse neighboring Pasadena for the planning, engineering and construction of stabilization on the Oak Grove Drive Bridge over the Flint Canyon Wash.
The agreement caps the city’s financial responsibility at $16,010, 12.9% of the total cost of the joint project, said Fullmer Chapman, director of public works.
Seismic analysis of the bridge, prompted by the Whittier Narrows earthquake, was done in 1990.
Construction, which is to begin in March, will add supplemental support to abutments to prevent a lateral shift and drop in the event of a moderate temblor.
