Crenshaw : Panel to Study Mall Project

Councilwoman Ruth Galanter has appointed a 15-member citizens panel to review plans for proposed redevelopment of Santa Barbara Plaza and an adjoining retail area along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The Santa Barbara Community Advisory Committee consists of residents, property owners, merchants and representatives of local community organizations. It is the formal group through which the general public can participate in the revitalization of the aging shopping district.
The first meeting will be at 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at the Department of Water and Power, 4030 Crenshaw Blvd.
