Benkert Named Westlake Track Coach

Westlake High football Coach Jim Benkert said Tuesday that he has been named coach of the school’s track and field program.
Benkert, 33, was track and field coach at Crespi from 1985-89 and led the Celts to a second-place finish in the Southern Section Division II boys’ meet in 1989.
