Legal Judgment

The article about Marc Stern’s relentless perseverance on behalf of his client, against great odds, is a well deserved encomium to a splendid lawyer who has acted in the best traditions of the bar. But I am concerned that the article includes the Auto Club in that group of insurance companies (whom we know all too well) that engage in sharp practices.
I have never represented the Auto Club, but over the past 45 years I have had numerous dealings with them as lawyer, judge and mediator. My invariable experience has been that the Auto Club deals fairly with both its insured and claimants.
I do not know the facts of this case, but even assuming the worst, this has to be some kind of aberration.
