SANTA ANA — The Rancho Santiago Community College District Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting today to interview candidates hoping to fill a recently vacated board seat.
Eighteen candidates will be interviewed starting at 4:30 p.m. at the district board room at Rancho Santiago College, 17th and Bristol streets. Interviews will be limited to 10 minutes each. Board members will later select a group of finalists for further interviews, district spokesman Henry Kertman said. The interviews will be open to the public.
From the finalists, the board will select a new member who will serve as the representative for Trustee Area 3. The board’s decision will be announced at its meeting on Monday, and the new board member could be sworn in immediately.
