5 Wounded by Gunmen in 2 Incidents

A group of gun-wielding assailants shot five men in two separate incidents in the unincorporated Florence area of Los Angeles County on Wednesday, critically wounding two, authorities said.
At 11:25 a.m., two of the gunmen argued with four men in the courtyard of an apartment complex in the 6700 block of Parmalee Avenue before shooting them, deputies said. Two victims were critically wounded in the chest, and the two others had minor injuries, investigators said. The assailants and a third man fled in a waiting car.
Twenty minutes later, a gunman in a moving car matching the description of the getaway vehicle fired at a driver on Alameda Street near Florence Avenue, grazing the his head.
