The Town Council unanimously voted to accept co-sponsorship of the Pasadena Board of Realtors’ newly organized Community Leadership Forum and to send delegates to the first conference next month.
Michael Silvas, president of the Pasadena Board of Realtors, said the purpose of the biennial conference will be to update about 500 civic leaders in Pasadena and Altadena on local and state real estate developments.
Targeted are such groups as chambers of commerce, civic directories, top Pasadena employers and about 120 neighborhood associations.
The forum in February, which will be held at the Pasadena Board of Realtors’ auditorium, will cover such topics as growth management, affordable housing and city planning.
Chuck Lamb, president of the California Assn. of Realtors, will be the keynote speaker.
