Perceptronics to Join in Making Combat Simulator

Perceptronics Inc. said it signed an agreement to join with Loral Corp. in developing a new combat-simulation system that the team hopes will be purchased by the U.S. Army.
Perceptronics, a Woodland Hills-based producer of computer-based simulators for the military, said it could not yet predict how much revenue the contract would generate for the company if Loral is selected for the program.
The program, called the Close Combat Tactical Trainer, would permit troops “to engage in highly realistic simulated combat operations” that would include tanks and other fighting vehicles, Perceptronics said.
