Carl Ray Harris scored 20 points to lead Fresno State to a 64-51 Big West victory over San Jose State at Fresno. Fresno is 12-7, 3-4. Jason Allen scored 13 to lead San Jose (1-14, 0-7).

Wisconsin Green Bay (16-1, 7-0) defeated Western Illinois, 65-53, in a Mid-Continent game at Macomb, Ill., despite losing leading scorer Tony Bennett for most of the game. Bennett fell hard on his back making a layup five minutes into the game and played only briefly after that. He had only two points. His injury was diagnosed as a deep back bruise.

Davor Marcelic scored 23 points to lead Southern Utah (13-5) to a 100-73 victory over Northeastern Illinois (5-12). Southern Utah outrebounded the Golden Eagles 58-34. For SUU, Sean Peterson had 19 points, Rex Brimhall 15 and Dana Achtzehn 14.

Dale Turner and Louis Armstrong each scored 24 points to lead Northern Iowa (6-10, 3-5) to an 80-69 Missouri Valley victory over Southern Illinois (14-3, 7-1). Turner hit 11 of 12 free throws and Armstrong was 9 of 11 from the line.
