Three goals in three minutes helped the Trabuco Hills girls’ soccer team keep a 2 1/2-year streak alive Tuesday.
With a 27-match Pacific Coast League unbeaten string hanging in the balance, the Mustangs (19-2-2), ranked third in the Southern Section Division 3-A, trailed Laguna Hills, 1-0, with three minutes remaining.
Freshman Sydne Smith started the rally, tying the score, 1-1, in the match’s 77th minute. Teammate Kristen Lowery, sister of San Diego State quarterback David Lowery, scored the winning goal a minute later and Lindsay Rogers added an insurance goal with 30 seconds remaining.
