Failed Arbitration Bid Gets Polonia $1,650,000

An arbitrator ruled against Angel outfielder Luis Polonia Thursday, and he will make $1,650,000 in 1992.
Polonia, who hit .296 last season, asked for $2,450,000. He made $845,000 in 1991 and led the Angels with 92 runs scored. Polonia had 28 doubles, 50 runs batted in and stole 48 bases.
