Council President Ferraro Hospitalized With Flu

Los Angeles City Council President John Ferraro was admitted to Good Samaritan Hospital on Tuesday with extreme flu symptoms and is not expected to return to the council for at least a week, an aide confirmed Friday.
“His doctors took the opportunity to run some tests,” said aide Erin Egge, and determined that the symptoms he suffered were not related to a past heart condition. Ferraro, 67, underwent quadruple bypass surgery in 1979.
