Sony Creates New Division: Sony Pictures Entertainment has formed Sony Pictures Classics to market and distribute specialized films. Michael Barker, Tom Bernard and Marcie Bloom--who were formerly associated with Orion Pictures’ respected classics division--will run the New York-based company as co-presidents. The group previously oversaw the release of such films as “Europa, Europa” and “My Beautiful Laundrette.”
