Despite scoring contributions from nine players, a balanced effort from The Master’s College was not enough to turn back visiting Pacific Christian, which scored a 56-50 victory in a nonconference women’s basketball game Tuesday.
Center Tricia Plummer was the only player to score in double figures for the Mustangs.
Krissi Trower scored eight points and Deborah Prociw and Becky Boyle added seven each for Master’s, which trailed, 34-24, at the half.
Pacific Christian (13-9) was led by Donna Auen, Kandee Almond and Gina Atkins, all of whom scored 14 points. Kristin Hendriecksen led Pacific Christian on the boards with 11 rebounds.
Master’s is 4-20.
In another game:
Redlands 78, Cal Lutheran 46--Redlands outscored the Regals by 20 points in the second half, turning a 12-point intermission lead into a rout at Redlands.
Evelyn Albert (17 points) and Cathy Clayton (15) scored in double figures for Cal Lutheran (1-16, 1-6 in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play). But only one other Regal scored more than four points.
And while only five players scored for Cal Lutheran, all 10 players on the Redlands’ roster got into the act, led by Cindi Pila, who finished with 16.
Redlands is 12-8, 6-2.
