Mike Tyson’s Conviction

As an African-American parent, I find it especially sad and shameful how the lure of sex may destroy the lives of the two most influential sports models of our time, Magic Johnson and Mike Tyson. Their behavior perpetuates myths about black-male sexuality being uncontrollable, while damaging the esteem of impressionable youths, whether the sex act is of force or through mutual consent because of one’s power, fame and wealth.
