Chapman Defeats Fresno, 8-6, in Baseball

Chapman scored six runs in the ninth inning to defeat Fresno State, 8-6, in a nonconference baseball game Wednesday at Fresno.
Jason White’s single drove in the tying run and Trevor Rush’s sacrifice fly scored the game-winner. The Bulldogs (5-6) committed two errors in the inning and three of the Panthers’ six runs were unearned. Kevin Cook and Jason White each had three hits for Chapman (6-4).
Steve Aviles entered the game with two outs in the sixth inning. He allowed one hit in 3 2/3 innings and improved his record to 2-0.
