Black History Month Activities

In recognition of Black History Month, Cal Lutheran University and the African American Student Assn. have organized a variety of events in celebration of black heritage.
The following is a list of activities on campus:
* Playwright-director James White will discuss work he has done with incarcerated youths at 8 p.m. today in the Preus-Brandt Forum. Admission is $5, free with CLU identification.
* “Celebration in Black Cultural Fair” will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Kingsman Park. The fair will feature art displays, live music and more. Admission is free.
* “Celebration in Black Talent Show” will take place at 8 p.m. Sunday in the gym-auditorium. Admission is free.
* An art exhibit, opening Monday in the Pearson Library, will feature the paintings of Gloria Todd Jones. Viewing hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Feb. 28. An artist reception is scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Feb. 27 in the Preus-Brandt Forum.
The campus is at 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.
