Carving a Collaboration: “Pinocchio,” the wooden boy who wanted to be real, will come to life in a new live-action Warner Bros. film that has some heavyweights pulling the strings. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop will create the characters and puppets, and Francis Ford Coppola is supervising the script, which is being written by Frank Galati, who adapted “The Grapes of Wrath” recently for the stage and co-wrote “The Accidental Tourist.” Fred Fuchs of Coppola’s American Zoetrope is executive producer and Coppola and Brian Henson will produce this first live-action version of the children’s classic.
