From Staff and Wire Reports
Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys was added to the NFL’s Competition Committee. Since Cincinnati’s Paul Brown died last year, there had been no team owner on the committee.
The Competition Committee monitors competitive aspects of the game on the field, reports to league membership and makes recommendations on rule changes and other policy issues.
Other owners who have served on the committee are the Raiders’ Al Davis and the New York Giants’ Wellington Mara.
