University of California cornerback Chris Cannon, found sleeping in a car loaded with stolen electronic equipment, was arrested in Berkeley in connection with looting that erupted after the verdict in the Rodney G. King beating trial, police said.
Police confiscated two cellular telephones, a VCR and a compact stereo from the car belonging to former Cal safety David Wilson. Cannon, who led the Bears in interceptions last season, told police he fell asleep in the car and found it full of the equipment when he awoke.
