Joint Venture With Boeing Sought: Boeing Co. said China has asked it to submit a proposal to assemble its 200-seat 757 jetliners there. Such an arrangement would give Boeing a significant advantage in its contest against McDonnell Douglas Corp., which has been successfully courting the huge Chinese market by agreeing to co-produce its models in Chinese factories.
