The new javelin used by Czechoslovakia’s Jan Zelezny to set a world record breaks the rules, Finnish experts claimed. Zelezny threw 310 feet 10 inches at an IAAF Mobil Grand Prix event in Oslo on July 4, but officials found the javelin consisted of four parts, rather than the required three.
