Politics of the Abortion Issue

As a Democrat I am amazed beyond words at Gov. Bill Clinton’s remarks that he won’t appoint anti-abortion justices (July 1). How can any candidate make such a stupid statement? Supreme Court justices differ on certain things; thank God for that. Is Clinton trying to say to our justices you do what I say or else I will not approve of you? Men like Clinton could very easily turn us into a dictatorial government.

I cannot see Clinton making it to Washington and as for Ross Perot, he too will fall by the wayside. In spite of the rough times President Bush is going through I still believe he is our best choice.
