HELP WANTED

You hit the nail on the head with “McFuture Shock” (by Nina J. Easton, June 7). On June 13, I became a civil/environmental engineering graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. I have had many interviews with both large firms and small consulting outlets, made numerous phone calls to division heads and personnel offices, and have written dozens of letters to just about everyone I can think of who is remotely related to my field of interest. Still no job.
Yet I am highly optimistic and would like to pass on this idea to all those newly graduated, educated and jobless individuals: Be patient, and let’s hope this economy turns around soon!
