Scholar-Athlete Wins NCAA Scholarship

Caryn Cranston of San Marino, a 1992 graduate of Pitzer College, has won a $5,000 postgraduate scholarship from the National Collegiate Athletic Assn.
The award is made to honor students outstanding in athletics and academics.
Cranston majored in English and psychology and excelled in tennis and basketball.
She plans a career teaching handicapped children.
