The San Diego Police Athletic League 11-under team fell to 1-1 in pool play at the AAU/USA Junior Olympic National tournament in Cocoa Beach, Fla. with a 55-35 defeat to the Carolina Gold, North Carolina state champions. Zach Jones and Jorge Rodriguez each scored eight points for San Diego, which needs to win its next game to advance to the championship bracket.
