Happy Birthday, Gene: TNT cable will mark Gene Kelly’s 80th birthday on Aug. 23 by airing his 1954 musical film “Brigadoon” in a letter-boxed format. It has generally been shown on TV in pan-and-scan versions that did not show the full screen image.
