Signal Hill : Clippers’ Smith to Host Free Basketball Clinic

Los Angeles Clippers forward Charles Smith will present a free basketball clinic for boys and girls ages 7 to 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Signal Hill basketball courts, 1780 E. Hill St.
The event is sponsored by the Signal Hill Police Department’s Project DARE, which provides leadership and role models for youth as alternatives to crime and drugs. Registration is required and is limited to the first 500 youngsters. Information is available from Officer Larry Morris at (310) 426-7311, Ext. 206.
After the clinic, a team of students and adults will play a basketball team from radio station KJLH.
