Spain used defense, Poland offense and both teams reached their goal--the Olympic soccer final Saturday.
Before a noisy home crowd Wednesday, Spain beat Ghana, 2-0, and then Poland routed Australia, 6-1, to advance to the gold medal match in Barcelona. Ghana and Australia will meet for the bronze Friday.
Striker Andrzej Juskowiak of Poland scored three goals and leads the tournament with seven. Roaming free in the Australian penalty box, Juskowiak gave Poland the lead for good one minute before halftime. His goal made it 3-1 about 10 minutes into the second half and his last goal came just before the end.
In the first game, Ghana played shorthanded for most of the second half after Osei Kuffour was sent off two minutes after the kickoff for a rough move.
