ADIEU, OCTD: After 20 years, the familiar OCTD name and its logo will soon disappear from 6,500 bus stop signs, 508 large buses and 230 vans. . . . Recent federal law requires new paint and new decals. Since the acronym for the recent merger of several transportation agencies is OCTA--Orange County Transportation Authority, instead of district --that means new logos.. . . And how much is all this going to cost? About $648,000, transportation officials say.
