NEW CALIFORNIA FICTION
Thank you for making Los Angeles a place where literature is still valued by publishing California fiction writers once a year (June 28). Especially impressive was “Going to Meet the Murderer” (by Alice Walker), the story about the circumcision of women in a Third World country. I used to think I was crazy because no one but me seemed to know or care about that practice.
