Concert on Hold: A sold-out concert by Metallica and Guns N’ Roses set for Friday at San Diego’s Jack Murphy Stadium has been postponed following an injury to Metallica singer-guitarist James Hetfield, who was burned on the hands and arms during a concert last Saturday in Montreal. The San Diego concert probably will be rescheduled for late September. Several other dates also may have to change, though the Aug. 22 concert at the Rose Bowl is expected to stand. Three other dates previously were postponed due to Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose’s throat problems. Meanwhile, the Grateful Dead have canceled five shows in Northern California and Oregon due to exhaustion suffered by guitarist Jerry Garcia.
