In his testimony before the House Armed Services Committee, Gen. Carl Mundy Jr. opined, “ . . . the tragedy of it (the Tailhook incident) was that there wasn’t a lieutenant colonel there to put his foot down” (July 31).
I would submit to the general that the real tragedy was that there wasn’t a lieutenant colonel there to put her foot down!
