STILL CLOSE BY: Dan C. Wooldridge has been Supervisor Don R. Roth’s media buffer during his recent legal problems over questions of influence peddling. But no more. . . . Wooldridge is leaving as one of Roth’s top aides to join Costa Mesa political consultant Harvey Englander, who handled Roth’s last campaign. Wooldridge says he considers Roth “an outstanding supervisor,” and, in fact, he expects to work on Roth’s reelection campaign in 1994--though Roth hasn’t said yet that he’ll run.
