Desi Awards: Ricardo Montalban and Edward James Olmos will be among the honorees and Burt Reynolds will be one of the presenters at the third annual “Desi Entertainment Awards” Monday at 8 p.m. at the Wiltern Theatre. The awards honor achievements of Latinos in film, music and television. Los Lobos, Tito Puente, Martika, Ruben Blades and Culture Clash also will be on hand for the ceremonies that are being taped for later airing as a syndicated television special. Tickets are offered through Ticketmaster. KTLA Channel 5 has tentatively set a Sept. 9 airdate.
