Iran May Sue Hyundai Over Shipyard Project

SEOUL — Iran has notified South Korea’s Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. that it may finally take to court a 13-year-old dispute stretching back to before the fall of the Shah, a Hyundai spokesman said.
Hyundai Engineering, part of the Hyundai Group, abandoned construction of a shipyard in Bandar Abbas in 1979 after three of its employees were killed during the Islamic revolution.
Iran wants Hyundai to complete the project.
