IRVINE : Laguna Niguel Man Crashes Truck, Dies

A Laguna Niguel man died of head injuries early Wednesday after the truck he was driving careened off a road and smashed into a telephone pole.
Dushaun Shan Franklin, 24, was pronounced dead at 2:48 a.m. at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, where he was taken shortly after the accident, Irvine Police Lt. Sam Allevato said.
Franklin was driving alone when the accident occurred shortly before 2 a.m., Allevato said. He was going south on Irvine Center Drive near the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater when he failed to negotiate a curve, Allevato said.
