PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE NFL : Giants Sign Duke Quarterback
- Share via
The New York Giants finally got their quarterback of the future into training camp Wednesday, signing Dave Brown of Duke to a four-year contract.
Sources close to the negotiations said Brown will receive $4.6 million, including a $1.6-million signing bonus.
The Giants sacrificed their No. 1 draft pick next year by taking Brown in the supplemental draft in July.
The Pro Bowl, a postseason fixture in Honolulu for 13 years, might be moving to Orlando, Fla., in 1994.
“Hawaii has been a great host of the Pro Bowl,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Wednesday. “We’re in negotiations to extend our stay here. We just have not reached agreement yet.
“In the meantime, Orlando has come forward with a bid and it will receive serious consideration.”
