NEW FAN: It wasn’t until recent years that La Palma artist Diana Magrann became a fan of Elvis Presley, who died 15 years ago today. Now he’s her main subject. . . . Magrann has just won the top three prizes in Graceland’s Elvis Art contest. And the Presley estate in Memphis, Tenn., has bought nine of her Elvis paintings--she has painted him more than 50 times. Why Elvis? “Because he’s the most fascinating man,” she says.
