Sun Valley Man, 20, Is Fatally Shot

A Sun Valley man was fatally shot early Saturday in what police believe to be a gang-related killing.
Jesus Pedro Valdez, 20, was shot in the head about 12:20 a.m. at the corner of Strathern Street and Vineland Avenue in Sun Valley, Sgt. Tom Toutant said. When officers arrived, Valdez had already been taken by bystanders to Pacifica Hospital of the Valley, where he died shortly afterward.
Toutant said no motive had been established for the slaying.
