Welfare Initiative

I have read that Gov. Pete Wilson’s welfare initiative will save the state some money by penalizing teen-agers who are on welfare if they don’t go to school. Since the governor is also saving the state some money by slashing the education budget, there may not be any schools for the teen-agers to attend.
The governor seems to be doubly clever when it comes to saving the state some money.
