Clinton Republicans: Brave or Turncoats?
A few weeks ago I decided I could no longer limit my involvement in the political process to simply voting on Election Day. I was excited but apprehensive when I decided to attend an organizing meeting for Orange County volunteers for Bill Clinton.
I guess both my excitement and apprehension were justified. First, I cheered when eight local Republican leaders announced their support for Clinton, Then, I cringed when I heard the criticism--even threats--they endured from their erstwhile colleagues in the party. I say to Kathryn Thompson, Roger Johnson and all the others, thanks for your courage!
